Creating an email campaign for your company can be daunting task. Where do you even start? These are a few tips.
1. Create an email template: Be sure that your email template matches the design and colors of your website. This way your branding stays consistent and it’s easy for customers to connect your emails with the rest of your brand. 2. Choose an email management tool: There are several tools to choose from, so pick the one that best fits your budget and the functionality that you need. We manage I am Second’s email through Blue Hornet because of the large lists and API integration, but other services like Mail Chimp, My Emma, and Constant Contact are other great options to look at as well.
3. Make your email experience unique: Think of ideas that are going to make your campaigns worth your audience’s time. Most of us are sorting through hundreds of emails a week, so be sure your campaigns are interesting enough for your audience to actually open and read. Create campaigns that are of value to your audience. No one has time to read junk or “fluff”.
4. Keep your content consistent: Create a content schedule so that emails are sent to your contact list on a regular basis. You don’t want your customers to forget you exist because they haven’t heard anything from you in several months.
